Minister for Industries & Commerce, Pangnyu Phom, who was the chief guest of Independence Day celebration at Zunheboto, has also graced the closing programme of the 3rd Inter Departmental Badminton Tournament at DSCZ Indoor Stadium, Zunheboto. In his speech, the chief guest has lauded the organizing committee for their contribution towards the promotion of sports in Zunheboto. All the departments under Zunheboto district have participated in the annual tournament. The tournament was jointly organized by DSCZ and Zunheboto Badminton Association.
Prize distribution ceremony was chaired by vice chairman DSCZ, Vikaho Jimo, and vote of thanks was proposed by president ZDBA Hekato Sumi.
In the Men’s Double, PHED and PWD (R &B) have bagged the first and second prize while in the Men’s Single SDEO Aghunato was declare winner and District Administration Zunheboto was declared runner up.
In the Women’s Double, PWB(R&B) had bagged the first prize and the Horticulture Department was adjudged the runner up while in the Women’s single PWD(R&B) was declared the winner and EE Power Department was conferred the second prize.
