Wokha police organises training on paper-bag making

Superintendent of Police, Wokha, along with master trainers and participants at the one-day training on paper-bag making in Wokha on June 14.

 

Dimapur, June 15 (EMN): Wokha police, in collaboration with Team Metamorphosis and Self Help Group (SHG), organised a one-day training on paper-bags making on June 14 at Wokha DEF unit drill shed.

Delivering an introductory speech, SDPO, Wokha, Imkongsangba, welcomed all participants and stressed on the need for a plastic-free environment.

Superintendent of Police, Wokha, Manoj Kumar, shared on the threat pose by plastic pollution and steps initiated by the unit for a plastic-free “Police Reserve.” He also informed that more awareness programme would be initiated by organising literary competitions.

Oreno Ngullie from Team Metamorphosis, Nyanbeni and Saroni representing Self Help Group were the master trainers. The one-day training was organised for the spouse of unit personnel and students of Regimental School, DEF Wokha.

Around 78 persons participated in the training. The programme was initiated to support the government policy on restricting use of plastic.
