Trebuchet wins 4th Master Shield Trophy

Mokokchung, Feb. 20 (EMN): Trebuchet clinched the 4th Master Shield Trophy after beating defending champions Vincent in the final match at Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung on Thursday, Feb. 20. Trebuchet, who came prepared for the title this season, won the final by eight wickets.
Vincent elected to bat first and scored 130 runs for loss of four wickets in the stipulated over. Vijay scored 25 runs with Imliwati and Santosh scoring 30 and 22 runs respectively. Imnayanger took three wickets for Trebuchet while Anoksangba chipped in with one wicket.
In reply, Trebuchet was able to chase the required target in just 18.1 over for loss of four wickets. Manjoy Kumar and Vikasj Sah scored 36 runs each for Trebuchet with Chuba contributing 18 runs to clinch the title. Imliwati two wickets while Sunil took one wicket for Vincent.
Champions Trebuchet went back home richer with a cash amount of INR 40000 along with the shield and certificates while runner-up Vincent pocketed a cash amount of INR 20000 and certificates.
The tournament was organised by Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation.
