Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): Under first phase Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP 2018-19), a training programme for beneficiary societies was held at CKS Hall, Tuensang, on July 12 organised by PIT, ICDP Tuensang district.

Out of the total 800 societies, 57 primary cooperative societies (beneficiaries) in Tuensang received the benefits in the first phase.

Akhang Jongshi, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Chief Project Officer (CPO), Tuensang, highlighted on the importance of book keeping records and loan recovery on time.

Dr. Keviletsu Khate, KVK, also spoke on pig and poultry farming and management and maintenance of good breeding systems. He highlighted on nurturing, safe farming and disease related to pig farming, while other officials spoke on the production technology of field crops.

After the formal session, the beneficiaries along with the officials undertook field trip to B&N Farm at Yungpang village. The main purpose of the field trip was to provide a firsthand experience and practical training on the management of livestock.
