Dimapur, June 11 (EMN): Five students from Kohima Science College in Kohima who are said to have been selected for training in chemical engineering by the Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Co. Ltd. in Mumbai called on Nagaland Governor PB Acharya on June 10 at the Raj Bhavan in Kohima.

The governor’s office issued a note to the media informing about the courtesy to the governor.

The note read: ‘The company had expressed their interest in providing on the job training for youngsters from Northeast India so as to enable them to get suitably trained, develop their skill and become employable in the chemical industry and at the initiative of Governor Acharya and INFC, an NGO from Mumbai, a campus interview was organised at Nagaland University, Lumami and Kohima Science College during October 2018.”

Five students from the science college and three from Nagaland University were shortlisted for training, the updates stated.

“The selected candidates will be paid a decent stipend and will be provided rent free accommodations and cost free canteen facility,” the note added.
