Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) will be conducting its first phase of “Health and education tour 2019” from July 18 to 26.
According to the union president, Sangti Konyak, and the information secretary, Moba AS Konyak, the team would inspect schools and health centres, organise health check-up and conduct training on nutrition and also hold seminar on importance of immunisation. The union also expected to collect feedbacks on its school adoption programme during the tour.
The union has targeted four villages namely Tamkoang, Yongkhao, Shinnyu and Pessao during its first phase tour.
The union officials would visit Tamkoang village on July 18 and 19, Yongkhao village from July 20 – 24, and Pessao village on July 25 and 26.
In this regard, respective federating units are directed to coordinate with medical and teaching staff to be at the station starting from July 19. It also urged the VHC, VEC and village council to arrange accommodation and other logistics for five members including doctor, trainer and lab-technician from ECS and two TASU officials.
