DIMAPUR, JANUARY 30

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President K.Therie on Saturday criticized the NPF led government and said it keeps fooling the people on the Indo-Naga political issue.
Referring to the 8 Congress legislators who joined the DAN government, Therie challenged them to come out with concrete proposals and the significance of their support extended to T R Zeliang government.
According to K Therie, NPCC is distressed by the delay in finding amicable solution to the Indo-Naga political problem.
Addressing media persons on Saturday at Congress Bhavan Dimapur after the conclusion of the NPCC’s ‘mass contact for change tour’, K Therie assured that the party will lay emphasis on political and administration, welfare and economy of the state.
“Even the central schemes targeted the poorest of the poor are sold in black markets by the state government,” alleged Therie. While stating this, the NPCC chief pointed out on the Civil Supply Department that though the department was receiving enough of supplies every month, they do not reach the desired people.
With NPCC’s ‘mass contact for change tour’ in 11 districts and 19 meetings, Therie alleged that it had come to their notice that the central schemes are being misused by the state government. He further alleged that all welfare schemes sanctioned by the central government for the people are siphoned off systematically and the schemes, funds under Food and Civil Supplies, MGNREGA, Social Welfare, SSA, RMSA, NHMS did not reach the intended beneficiaries. “Corruption is shared between the MLAs and officers.
