Tenyidie literature festival celebrated in Kohima

Dimapur, June 1 (EMN):
Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) held its Tenyidie literature festival on May 30 at Ura Academy Badi, Kohima.

In the first session, the programme was chaired by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu, TKK president, while exhortation was delivered by Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, Managing Director of Northfield. The bible reading and invocation was by Rev. Keduokienyü Dzüvichü, while song was presented by students of Northfield and Nagaland University.

The vote of thanks was pronounced by Neipukhrielhou Kense, TKK vice president, and the benediction was said by Rev. Dr Khrielie Seyie.

In the second session, various artistes performed songs and instrumental pieces. Tenyidie students of Nagaland University performed a drama, while Meteitoulie Talie recited poetry. Keviuchütuo Kuotsu, assistant professor of Oriental College, and Khrietuo Rüpreo, novelist, also spoke at the event.

In the third session, Thenucho Tunyi and Vipralhou Kesiezie exhorted the gathering.

The literature festival also witnessed competitions in poetry and story writing among the students in Tenyidie language. More than 350 students participated in the programme.
