TaFMA to organise band beat contest in Tuensang on Sep. 27

The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) in association with Tuensang Hills Accolade Society (Thas) Tuensang, will be organising ‘Band Beat’ contest with theme, ‘A Ticket to Hornbill,’ on Sep. 27 at Tuensang Town Hall.

An update issued on Sep. 17 informed that the winner of the contest would take part directly in Hornbill Music Festival 2019 scheduled to be held in Dimapur.

And the winning choir team of the district will sing at the Nagaland Choirs Olympics grand finale which will be on Oct. 23 at RCEMPA Jotsoma in Kohima where the ultimate winner will get a chance to perform in the World Choir games 2020 at Belgium.

Thas in the release has requested all the young talented youths across Tuensang district not to miss the big opportunity.

Also, Thas has requested the Churches within the district to promote young talented youths to take part in the form of Gospel Band and Church Choirs.

All citizens of Tuensang town have been invited to come, witness and support their local Bands and choirs.
