Dimapur, Sep. 8 (EMN): School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Nagaland University, Medziphema campus, celebrated its 25th freshers’ social on September 4 with Professor Charles P Alexander, Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University, as the special guest.
In his address, the special guest congratulated the freshers for making a choice of studying Agricultural Science adding the right choice that they make and the adaptability to change would make their life beautiful. He encouraged the students to improve their ability to observe things so that they could develop something on their own.
In conclusion, he advised the students to make right decision which would give direction towards the path of success.
Wenlang M Konyak, Wanpon Konyak and Kikruseto Kuotsu delivered speeches on behalf of freshers, while Hili K Zhimo, B.Sc (Agri.) Hons 3rd year, spoke on behalf of the remaining students.
The welcome speech was delivered by Professor AK Makar, Dean of SASRD, followed by exhortation by Professor T Lanusosang, Pro- Vice Chancellor of SASRD. The programme was chaired by Bonikali V Awomi, President SU: SASRD, The Evangelical Union and Imtisanen Walling and friends enchanted the audience with their songs. Mohan NS, assistant general secretary SU: SASRD, delivered the vote of thanks.
Jamoah A Sangma and Vanlalnghaki were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher 2019.
