Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): The Sainik School at Punglwa in Peren district is undertaking promotional activities as the institution readies for new phases of registration and enrolment to the school though an entrance test.
A seminar on the all-India Sainik School Entrance Examination for the year 2020-21 was conducted on August 20 in Kiphire. The event was organised by the district education office of Kiphire, updates stated.
The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates on Wednesday informing about the programme.
Education officials are said to have conducted the programme “with a purpose to encourage the students who are interested to study at Sainik School Punglwa,” the IPR stated. They asked the teachers to assist students who have an interest in joining the school.
AK Nayak from the 7th Assam Rifle at Kiphire informed that every year coaching classes are given by the security force Assam Rifles. Coaching classes will be conducted as usual. Students are informed to come with proper documents.
Henminlal, teacher at Punglwa’s Sainik School gave a presentation about the school and the various activities that are undertaken there. He said that the school aims to bring out ‘all round development’ in every child. He was stated to have urged teachers from ‘every school’ to extend assistance to the students to get registered ‘as no students got enrolled from Kiphire district,’ the IPR explained.
The details for registration in the Sainik School: Examination date will be on January 5 2020; online registration from August 5-September 23 2019; registration charge for SC/ST is INR 250, and INR 400 for the general/defence category, the updates stated.
The examination centre will be in Dimapur, Kohima, Tuensang, Mon and Punglwa, the IPR informed.
