Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): A two-day spiritual retreat programe at Bailey Baptist College (BBC) in Wokha district was held on July 13 and 14 on the theme “The fear of the Lord is the begging of knowledge” (Prov. 1:7).
The first evening programme was chaired by R Bithungo Ovung, chaplain BBC, while T Penthungo Ngullie, acting principal, delivered the welcome address.
Thungjamo Lotha, retired Joint Director, exhorted the congregation on the importance of hard work and smart work. He also stressed on the need to work a little harder with politeness and humbleness to bring out a good life.
Rev. Thungrio Khuvung, pastor of Wokha Town Baptist Church, urged the congregation to focus on God alone. Besides, he cautioned the students on the right use of modern technology and gadgets.
The evening service ended with a prayer said by Yizamo Kikon.
Speakers of the two-day retreat were Dr. Moanungsang, principal of Witter Bible College, Vankhosung; Rev. Thungrio Khuvung, pastor of Wokha Town Baptist Church; Samuel Ovung, assistant pastor of WTBC; and R Bithungo Ovung, chaplain of Bailey Baptist College.
