The Chakhesang National Workers Forum (CNWF) NSCN/GPRN, express serious concern at recent news items published in the local dailies especially those emanating from the region. These gullible individuals are made more vocal than others in their desperate attempt to let blood shedding continue and at the same time, sabotage the Indo-Naga Peace process.
The Chakhesang National Workers Forum (CNWF) in the meeting held on 02.10.15 among others make strong exception to the press statement on one Kh. S. Dzünamai, Senior NNC member on Nagaland Post on 01.10.15 and Eastern Mirror, for making false allegation against our Ato Kilonser. The unfortunate events ascertained by him, i.e. 27th November 1979 to December 1979 were when our Chairman Isak Chishi Swu and Secretary Th. Muivah were prisoners under the custody of NNC Martial Law enforcers from 30th August 1978 to 21st January 1980, wherein they were forcefully shifted from place to plaqce such as from Longchang to Hazik, Noknyiu to Lohang etc in the Eastern Nagalim. It was also during this period that martial law enforcers in their mad frenzy dug the graves of our leaders not only once but thrice at different times and places. It was only through divine intervention that martial law enforces could not come to terms as to where to bury our leaders, and had to finally release them on 21st January 1980. It is better to get the facts right before publishing such slanders in public Medias. For it hurts the sentiments of those deceased family members and create further confusions. Therefore, such false allegations made by Kh. S. Dzünamai shall not be tolerated or entertained. For, it is impossible for our leaders who were being kept under strict vigil by their captors, uncertain whether they will ever see the next daylight at that point of time, cannot be responsible for the sad episode as mentioned by Kh. S. Dzünamai. Hence, a clarification seemed like the need of the hour.
Dear Brother and sisters let us all give unwavering effort for the betterment of our community because all is not well in our home front. We need to put our house in order first, before we take a stand in public domain and expose ourselves further. Look at the Shisha HOHO which now is split wide open into two opposing camps, or as such, when church leaders refused to pray for national workers upon request. There are many more but better not wash dirty linens in public. Yet, in such condition, can others expect us to do good for ourselves and unto others? Come, together let us take advantage of the NSCN/GPRN’s declared policy of total reconciliation since 2007, and again reaffirmed by our Ato Kilonser at Civic Reception at Dimapur Airport on 12th August 2015 and other follow up public consultative meetings. And also the recent press statement of our chairman Isak Chishi Swu, where he appealed to all Nagas to come together. Disparities will always show its ugly head in our society, however, it is up to us to overcome our differences and meet in the middle. Let us all give peace a chance.

Lt. Col. (Retd) Ape Venuh
Kilonser and convenor of CNWF.
