Ranji Trophy: Puducherry beat Nagaland by an innings and 195 runs

Dimapur, Feb. 15 (EMN): Puducherry beat Nagaland by an innings and 195 runs at SLIMS cricket ground in Puducherry on Saturday, February 15.

Resuming from their overnight score of 230 runs, Nagaland were bowled out for 254 runs in 67.1 overs in their second innings, informed an update by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).

Jonathan scored the bulk of the runs with 93 while Stuart Binny chipped in with 43 runs.

Santhamoorthy took five wickets for Puducherry.

Earlier, Nagaland were bowled out for just 176 runs in the first innings. In reply, Puducherry scored a huge 625 runs in their first innings.

In another update from the NCA, Odisha need 173 runs to win against Nagaland after day-2 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima on Saturday, February 15.

Resuming from their overnight score of 25 runs for no loss, Odisha were bowled out for 138 runs in 56.5 overs in their first innings.

Amrit scored the majority of the runs with a patient 61 runs with Saurabh chipping in with 22 runs.

Vaibhav took five wickets for Nagaland while Nchumbemo took four wickets.

Nagaland 2nd innings: 127 all out in 47.3 overs

Vivek scored 61 runs

Saurabh and Preet K Singh took four and three wickets respectively for Odisha.

Odisha 2nd innings: 10/0 in 4 overs

Binit and Amrit were at the grease with 6 and 4 runs respectively.

Stumps day 2: Odisha need 173 runs to win.
