Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): Dimapur police has appealed to the public to restrain themselves from unnecessary movement in the market areas.

In a statement issued on Monday, it urged the public to venture out of their homes for buying of essential items only when necessary. “During such unprecedented circumstances the public is encouraged to instead cultivate new social habits such as reviewing the routine habit of daily shopping through maintenance of a basic and simple meal regime.

“Needless to mention that the temporary restrictions currently imposed in Nagaland by the state government is for ensuring the individual safety of all concerned and thus it is also the bounden responsibility of all to extend co-operation in this critical time. Lastly, while we welcome constructive criticism and also admit certain shortcomings, the office would like to impress upon the public that the district force is currently performing its duty with all due diligence in the frontline of this pandemic outbreak,” the statement read.
