Photo contest to highlight child rights; entries invited

Dimapur, Feb. 12 (EMN): Interested photographers, both amateur and professionals, are invited to participate in a photography contest that is being organised by the Child Protection Services, department of Social Welfare. 

The competition is being conducted with the theme “Children of Nagaland,” and highlighting child rights.

The Child Protection Services of the department of Social Welfare issued on Wednesday a press release informing about the competition,

“A participant may send maximum of two entries. We are looking for the candid/real moments. The photography competition aims to raise awareness on child rights and protection issues in our state.”

Shortlisted works will be exhibited at the RCEMPA in Jotsoma of Kohima on February 27, the organisers stated. 

The first prize will receive a cash award of INR 30,000, the second prize winner INR 10,000 and two consolation prizes of INR 5,000 each, the updates stated.

Contest terms and conditions

•  Participants have to furnish complete contact details such as name, age, phone number, email address and postal address.  

•  The photograph(s) must have a good resolution and should be an original creation.

•  The result shall be declared on February 27 2020 at the RCEMPA in Jotsoma

•  By submitting the entries, participants agree to grant Child Protection Services (CPS) Nagaland for free of charge the right to use the photo(s) without limitation in printed or electronic media. CPS agrees to give proper photo courtesy.

•  The last date of entry submission is February 24 2020.

•  Participants are to submit the photograph(s)/ entries to scpsnagaland@gmail.com.
