Pangnyu Phom seeks early completion of Medical College
Dimapur, June 17 (EMN): Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Pangnyu Phom has sought the central government’s support towards completing the medical college in Nagaland within the stipulated time.
According to a press release, Phom met the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey at the union minister’s chamber in New Delhi on Monday.
Phom told the union minister that Nagaland is the only state in the country without a medical college. He said that the government of Nagaland is fully committed to make the medical college functional by 2020-21.
Phom also congratulated Vardhan and Choubey for their respective appointment in the current union government. He was accompanied by the Principal Secretary for Health and Family Welfare Himato Zhimomi and Director Dr. Vizolie.
