Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): Considering the lack of personal protection equipment in the fight against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), Sakipheto Range Students’ Union (SRSU) donated 100 face masks and hand wash for the medical personnel at the Community Health Centre, Medziphema.
The union, in a press release issued by its president, has urged the community to contribute and support the frontline workers as the need of the hour is greater than any other time. The union also requested the public to help the government by following guidelines and notifications in tackling the WHO declared pandemic caused by coronavirus (Covid-19).
Meanwhile, the union has expressed gratitude to all the nurses, doctors, concerned individuals, organisations who have risked their lives in this time of crisis for the welfare of the society.
In a related programme, Beckon Club of Medziphema town donated masks, sanitisers and gloves to all police personnel and staff of ADC Medziphema on March 31.
Beckon Club was formed in October 2018 with ‘Movement to encourage’ as its motto. The club has successful forayed into many noble ventures in and around Medziphema till date.
