Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): The Indian Army and Assam Police in a joint operation apprehended one ULFA (I) cadre in Upper Assam on October 11.
The joint team launched number of simulations operations in the district of Upper Assam, based on information led to the arrest of the cadre, informed an update received from PRO (Defence)
During one such operation, an “active cadre” of ULFA (I) identified as Rituraj Asom was apprehended from area of Kathalguri Reserve forest along with AK 81 series rifle, 60 live bullets and two magazines were recovered from his procession, it indoemed.
The cadre along with the seized items were handed over to police for investigation.
