Dimapur, Feb. 13 (EMN): Having observed that many ‘unscrupulous’ elements are serving ‘information slips and demand letters to shops and business establishment’ using pseudo identities in the name of NSCN (R), the latter has warned all those individuals to immediately stop and refrain from such activities or face severe consequences of serious and of highest nature.

NSCN (R) press release issued by its MIP stated that some fake conmen are using ‘real names’ of NSCN functionaries especially of high ranking personalities, while keeping their own identities ‘Incognito.’ NSCN (R) stated that such activities not only tarnish the image of the NSCN but also deface and brings bad disrepute of those officials which amount to nothing short of ‘character assassination(s).’

While viewing all such sinister designs and activities seriously, NSCN (R) has warned all those persons to immediately stop and refrain from such activities or face severe consequences of highest nature.

The MIP also informed to all concerned that NSCN authorities have not issued any ‘directives’ to any NSCN functionaries for collecting ‘legitimate taxation’ on business establishments and shops for the fiscal year 2019 – 2020. NSCN has requested all business establishments and shops to report such cases to its officials on phone numbers 9862746931, 9366074244 and 7005184377.

It added that business establishments and shops entertaining such fraudulent activities even after issuance of the ‘cautionary notification’ would be doing so at their risk and should not reflect the image of NSCN (R) whatsoever and also not be included in the government’s revenue file of regular collection of ‘legitimate taxation.’
