Wokha, Nov. 28 (EMN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) has asserted the need for all Naga groups to ‘sit across the table’ and explore all possible means of achieving unity in the interest of Naga people.

This was one of the resolutions adopted at the group’s general meeting held at Lotha Tribal Council hall in Wokha town on Thursday.

It also resolved to stand for a Naga political solution “in the interest of Nagas as one people and one homeland”.

The general secretary of NNC, Vizosielhou Nagi informed that the resolutions needed further polishing. All the members raised their hands as a sign of accepting the resolutions.

During the meeting, the members discussed in detail the journey of the NNC and their years of struggle for a solution to the Naga political issue.

While the discussions were naturally centred on the Naga political struggle, the speakers repeatedly stressed on the need for unity among the various Naga groups.

More than two hundred members of NNC attended the general meeting.
