NLA secretariat invites accredited reporters to witness winter session
Dimapur, Nov. 27(EMN): The Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat has asked those media persons accredited to proceedings of Nagaland Legislative Assembly to witness the winter session of Parliament which begins from Dec. 10 and asked those interested reporters to submit their names on or before Dec. 1 for onward submission to the Lok Sabha Secretariat and necessary action. The main objective behind the initiative is to familiarise the media persons with the parliamentary practices and procedures.
Commissioner-Secretary, Benjamin Newmai, in a letter to the press clubs of Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung – said the initiative of the assembly secretariat is as per the desire of the Nagaland governor. He said that the governor is willing up to the extent of bearing the accommodation charges at Nagaland House, New Delhi during the winter session period. The cost of to and from journey by train AC 3 tier would be reimbursed by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The press clubs have been asked to intimate their willingness to witness the winter session within this week.
