Dimapur, Dec. 5 (EMN): The 44th annual meet of Niuland Area Sports Association was held at Niuland town from November 25 to the 30th.
The meet featured 44th Hovishe Memorial Football Trophy and 3rd Henito Chishi Memorial Volleyball Trophy (Men), besides volleyball for women, badminton (both men and women) and traditional games competition, according to a press release from the organisers on Thursday.
Azheto Chophi, advisor to the collective leadership of GPRN/NSCN inaugurated the event while Holen Yepthomi, advisor to Dimapur District Football Association graced the valedictory function as guest of honour. Atovi Yeputho, O/A SDEO, Niuland town was the special invitee to the traditional games competition.
