Kohima, Dec. 28 (EMN): Claiming that the Nagas are ‘known for hard work and honesty,’ member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Kuzholuzo Nienu has emphasised that hard work will surely enable a person to become successful and be an asset to the society.

Speaking as special guest at the 47th general session of the Thürütsüswumi Students’ Union (TSU) on December 27 on the theme “Trending education with culture,” Nienu said, “If we work hard we will surely become successful and thereby become an asset to our society and not a liability.”

He implored upon the students to use God’s given knowledge in the best services of humanity and not for evil designs or purposes, an update from the union stated on Friday. He also cautioned that knowledge without a purpose could become a dangerous tool for the society.

He stated that the purpose of one’s knowledge should be to serve the people in the right manner in order to deliver goods and justice.

Chairman of Thürütsüswumi village council Thiiyesasho Swuro shared greetings while TSU president Vekütho Swuro delivered presidential address.
Debate and poetry recitation competitions also marked the session.

The session would continue till December 28 with Vejoyi Swüro, head DB of Sekruzu town as the cultural guest.
