Dimapur, Nov. 28 (EMN): With the onset of working season, Nagaland Foot Hill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the contractor of Doyang bridge to immediately resume the construction work and complete without much delay saying that foothills road would not survive without the said bridge.
NFHRCC urged the public to ponder as to why all the major projects in the state are often delayed and sometime abandoned without completion. The committee convenor Supu Jamir and general secretary W Lemba Chnag appealed to all the concerned starting from politicians, bureaucrats, technocrats and contractors not to lose sight on the welfare and hardships faced by the public.
NFHRCC also appealed to the state governor to impress upon the government of India to declare the foot hills project as National Highway. The committee was of the opinion that once the foot hills road is constructed, it would be a lifeline for the entire state thereby solve unemployment problem to a large extend and improved the state economy.
NFHRCC also looked forward to having a sitting with the governor at the earliest in order to project the clear picture of the historic project.
