NCC ADG calls on Tripura Education minister

Dimapur, May 31 (EMN): Additional Director General of the National Cadet Corps Directorate, Northeast Region, Major General Bipin Bakshi on Friday called on Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and discussed the NCC activities and expansion plan in the state.

During the meeting with the State Advisory Committee held in the conference hall of the Bir Chandra State Central Library, under the chairmanship of Nath, deliberated on ways to expand the footprint of NCC.

Incentives for NCC officers and cadets of the state, construction of NCC academy at Mohanpur, provision of ministerial staff to NCC units, course in colleges, NCC as elective subject in schools and colleges, special provision of exam for NCC cadets participating in national camps and fund allocation were some matters discussed.

The ADG urged the NER Directorate’s Commitment to reach out the remote areas and motivate the students’ community.

The minister assured to extend full cooperation to NCC units.

Bakshi also visited NCC units located near BBM College and complimented the officers and staff for their hard work in grooming the youth of the state.

Later in the afternoon, while interacting with the NCC officers and cadets, ADG urged them to imbibe the good qualities, comradeship, discipline, leadership, and secular outlook, spirit of adventure and Ideals of selfless service and contribute toward society.
