Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): Centre for Professional Development of Teacher Educators, School of Education, NEHU, Shillong, in collaboration with Sazolie College of Teacher Education (SzCTE), organises a two-day workshop on August 26 and 27 on the theme “Innovative pedagogy and effective teaching strategies.”
The workshop was initiated under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) scheme, which was launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
Dr. Rakesh Rai, Head of Department of Education at Nagaland University, shared two papers on “Core teaching skills” and “Teaching methods and teaching strategies,” while Dr. BP Sahu, DACE NEHU, Shillong, spoke on “Core value of teachers.” Dr. Gomesh Mosahary, Principal of SzCTE, also presented a paper on “Teaching methods and teaching strategies.”
On the second day, Prof. Lungsang Zeliang presented a paper on “Social and communication skills of teachers,” while Prof. (Retd) Dr. Ratneswar Bhattacharjee of Kalyani University spoke on “6 practical steps of teaching” and
“Development of mind: Teacher’s mission,” while Dr. BP Sahu, DACE NEHU, Shillong, gave an insight on ‘Synopsis writing.’ L Kharlukhi, research scholar of DACE NEHU, presented a paper on “Theories of learning.”
During the valedictory function, the students presented a special number. Dr. Sahu presented certificates to the participants which was followed by the vote of thanks from the administrator of SzCTE, Vizeto Kin.
