Dimapur, Aug. 23 (EMN): With the objective to imbibe good conduct and discipline among the students, the Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) has enforced “rules and regulations” for strict compliance amongst students studying within the Southern Angami jurisdiction.

A press release from SASU officials stated the rules have been re-issued to strengthen the resolutions passed by its former office bearers for strict compliance and for the knowledge of the institutions’ authority and the public in general.

In this regard, SASU has prohibited students loitering around in uniforms during class hours. Also, students plying to school/ colleges through their own vehicle or boarding other students have been asked not to indulge in any other activities against the purpose of transportation to school or college.

“If any student is caught loitering, driving private vehicles during the class hours outside the college/ school premise, the union shall cease the vehicle and impose disciplinary actions per se,” warned SASU president, Virato Naleo, and the action committee member, Mezivil Kiso.

In case of any vehicle commuting students meeting with untoward or unscrupulous incident/ accident other than mechanical failure, the union warned that the concerned driver would be banned to use vehicle for commercial activities/purposes.

It also warned that “misconduct in the form of any immoral activities, disrespecting teachers/ lecturers/ assistant professors/ professors/ administrators (challenging or threatening them with no valid reasons) would not be tolerated.”

The union has warned of serious disciplinary action against any students found violating the order. The union further asked the students to adhere the “students code” laid down by the Angami Students’ Union (ASU).
