Nagaland Legislative Assembly speaker holds discussions with VAC
Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): The speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Vikho-o Yhoshü, who is also the advisor to a village adoption committee, discussed with the committee for the 14th southern Angami constituency areas to develop adopted villages. The meeting was conducted in the speaker’s residence on September 19, updates stated.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave updates on Thursday about the meeting.
With smaller villages having been adopted during the previous years, the speaker said, “This time opportunity has been given to the larger villages, with Kigwema village adopted for the year 2019-20,”’ the IPR informed.
Yhoshü was stated to have expressed hope that despite ‘limited time and resources,’ the committee would be able to work along with the village and provide their expertise in areas requiring development.
The district’s planning and development board has enhanced the budget from INR two lakh to INR three lakh for 2019-2020, the IPR stated.
The committee will be meeting with village authorities for further discussions and planning, the updates added.
