Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): As part of Poshan Maah campaign, Ralan block force in Wokha district organised a one-day retreat-cum-medical camp and formal launching of the adolescent club for girl under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) on September 17.
An update from the Wokha district administration stated that the retreat programme included competition in painting, singing, literacy and quiz along with traditional weaving classes for girl child.
Dr. T Kikon sensitised the gathering on pre-natal, malaria and other vector borne diseases, while Nchumbeni, BBBP icon, highlighted on the aims and objectives of the campaign.
The programme was chaired by Zachamo and the recreational activities was conducted by Alexander, manager of IDBI. The invocation prayer was pronounced by Renbomo Ovung, pastor of Old Ralan Baptist Church.
More than 150 students, adults and infants were treated during the medical camp and sanitary pads were distributed free of cost.
