Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) on Monday organised a ‘special get-together’ in honour of its (former) chairman and Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya, whose role at the NEZCC has come to an end.

A DIPR report stated that the programme was held at the NEZCC office in Dimapur. Acharya thanked the NEZCC officials for their support and cooperation and reminded them that there is still room for improvement in different sectors.

Acharya reminded that the role of the NEZCC was not to entertain but promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the NE states via contribution from different artistes.

The director of NEZCC, Jitul Sonowal thanked Acharya for his contribution towards the development of NEZCC and for being a capable and courageous torchbearer.
