Kohima, March 31 (EMN): The Naga bazaar Youth Organisation (NYO) distributed free rations and essential commodities to the needy and poor including the non-Naga people residing at Naga bazaar colony in Kohima on Tuesday.
Keeping in mind the ongoing lockdown across the country and in the state in the wake of the Convid-19 pandemic, the colony youth reached out to the needy under their jurisdiction.
The youth organisation informed Eastern Mirror that altogether, 170 households have been provided with the commodities and essential items.
A youth member also informed that this gesture has been extended without expecting “any credit in return” but to ease the burdens of the poor “who are finding a hard time to survive due to the lockdown”.
He wished any capable person or organisation to contribute for the needy ones in times of crisis.
