Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): The Economic Census for Mokokchung district has been launched. A programme to launch the seventh Economic Census 2019, which is to be conducted during August-September and November-December, was conducted on September 9 in the office of the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, updates stated.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued updates to the media on Tuesday informing about the programme.
Information relating to economics activities in the district will be collected and verified by enumerators and supervisors appointed by the Common Service Centres through door-to-door survey, the updates stated.
The district’s Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan has appealed to the citizens of Mokokchung to cooperate. They can so by providing correct information and by supporting those involved in carrying out the Economic Census so that the work in the district would be completed on time, the IPR added.
