Martyrs’ Trophy: ASU Senior FC beat Kohima KBA

Kohima, Oct. 15 (EMN): Angami Students’ Union Seniors FC (ASUS FC) defeated Kohima Bar Association (KBA) 3-0 in the fourth edition of football exhibition match that was played as part of NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at Khuociezie local ground in Kohima on Tuesday.

The first half of the encounter ended goalless but ASUS FC dominated the second half, scoring three goals.

Khrietuo opened the account for ASUS FC by scoring in the 49th minute, before Seyieneilhou added two more in the 63rd and 74th minutes to help the team win.

Imkong of KBA was declared man of the match award while Dievi Yano (ASUS FC) was declared the best custodian. Seyieneilhou and Kelhou Suohu of ASUSFC won the golden boot and best coach award respectively.

Former president of NSF Vipopal Kintso, who was the patron of the exhibition match, stated that coming together of ASUS FC and KBA was a significant move towards building camaraderie.

Such confluence of Angami students and legal fraternity, if nurtured properly, would become sort of a bond which can be beneficial for the Naga society, said Kintso.
