Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): A market shed and a lodge for attendants of health patients have been inaugurated in Mokokchung district. The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued updates on Thursday informing about the facilities.
A ‘street vendors market’ at Yimyu ward in Mokokchung town was inaugurated on December 12 by Additional Deputy Commissioner W Manpai Phom.
The official expressed appreciation for the facility meant for the people especially street vendors, the updates stated. He was stated to have urged stakeholders to declare the area single-use plastic free zone, the updates stated.
Similarly, “a patients attendant’s lodge shelter for urban homeless” was inaugurated in the vicinity of the Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital in Mokokchung and District TB Hospital at Majakong ward on the 12th, the IPR reported. State Mission Director S Tekatuba Aier inaugurated the building, the updates stated..
According to department sources, the project was initiated as part of the scheme, Shelter for Urban Homeless of the national flagship programme Deendayal Antyo Daya Yojana or National Urban Livelihood Mission, the updates stated.
