Manipur: Ringui’s Got Talent audition to begin on Feb. 20

Imphal, Feb. 12 (EMN): The 6th edition of Manipur’s talent hunt called “Ringui’s Got Talent” will begin the first round of audition on February 20 at the Classic Grande in Imphal.

According to the organisers, another audition will be held on February 22 at Ukhrul district and on February 26 at Ringui (or Tongou) village.

The opening of the main event has been scheduled to be held on March 12 evening and the grand finale on March 14 night at Ringui village.

The show is being organised under the aegis of the Dewdrops, a society formed by a young group of people to promote the talents of the youths.

The Ringui’s Got Talent is a talent show that features singers, dancer, magicians, comedians and other performers since 2012. The show is open to all the people residing in Ukhrul.

“The idea of holding such event in the state is to provide a platform to young talents of the indigenous community living here, ” said the Dewdrops convenor AC Raising.

He informed that free lodging, food, and transportation will be provided to all the participants.

He said NGOs and other organisations have extended help in the previous years. However, he lamented that so far no such assistance has been received from the state government.

Sharing a similar feeling, Miss Spring 2019 title winner Chanchui Khayi said that such an event will give an opportunity to the youths of the region to showcase their talents.
