Imphal, Aug. 20 (EMN): Manipur Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh has launched his personal website (www.nbirensingh.com). The website was launched in the Cabinet Hall of the chief minister’s secretariat on Tuesday in Imphal.
The website contains the chief minister’s profile, latest information, achievements, works, and a photo and video gallery etc. The website also has a contact page where people may post their complaints and grievances to the grievance cell of the chief minister’s secretariat.

In the day’s website launch function, Chief Minister Biren distributed prizes including commendation certificates and cash awards for the first three winners of the Sangai Photo Festival Competition 2018 that was conducted as part of the previous year’s Manipur Sangai Festival.

Ksh Devkumar of Uripok, Okendro Sanasam of Thoubal and Soibam Pritam of Imphal East bagged the first, second and third prizes, in that order, while Rajkumar Nepolean got a special mention prize.

The chief minister handed over a commendation certificate each and INR 50,000, INR 30,000 and INR 20,000 to first, second and third prize winners, in that order.

The second prize winner Okendro Sanasam is a photographer with the government publicity agency department of Information and Public Relations (IPR). He has also won two first prizes in the flora and fauna category in the state level spot photography competition in 2017 at Kwatha, Tengnoupal.

The IPR’s director H Balkrisna Singh lauded Okendro Sanasam’s achievement. He gave words of encouragement to other staff members also, according to an official release. INR one lakh was awarded to Seyeicavi Suohu, master-class grant winner of the competition.

Sadbhavana Diwas
The state observed the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi which is known as Sadbhavana Diwas, on Tuesday in Imphal.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh were the chief guest and functional president of the main observation in Imphal.

Addressing the occasion, Chief Minister Biren expressed his government’s strong commitment to carry on its campaign against drug abuse. He remembered late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s works in bringing unity.

In his speech, Deputy Chief Minister Joykumar said Rajiv Gandhi had a firm belief that the country could not progress without harmony among the different communities of the country.

A number of ministers, legislators and senior civil and police officials also attended the day’s observation.
The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (I) also observed the day.
