Longleng hosts ‘Startup Nagaland boot camp’

Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): The third phase of the ‘Startup Nagaland boot camp’ was conducted on September 14 at Longleng by the department of Industries & Commerce as part of implementing the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019. Students from various colleges and entrepreneurs from Phek district attended the event, updates stated.
The department of Industries & Commerce issued a press release to the media on Saturday informing about the event.

In the first session, Joel Phucho of Nagaland Startup introduced the Startup Nagaland Initiative. During the second session, students and entrepreneurs pitched their ideas before a panel of camp judges. Shingmei and Taulim won the first prize, while P Shomei Phom won the second prize. Shingjei Phom and team won the third prize, the updates stated.

The extra additional commissioner of Longleng, Ihoilung Chuilo was stated to have urged the students and entrepreneurs to “redefine their ideas and work towards more innovative ideas which can not only help in earning income but provide solutions for the general mass.”

The officer appreciated the ideas that were pitched at the event and hoped that they “can one day be materialized,” the press release stated.

“He also thanked the department for organizing such an event and hoped that more of such events takes place in the near future also, the press release stated.
