Kohima press assures to work for journalists’ welfare
Dimapur, June 24 (EMN): The first general meeting of the Kohima Press Club for the tenure 2019-22 was conducted on Saturday in Kohima.
During the meeting, the members resolved to strengthen the KPC, and to work for the security and welfare of the members of the club, a press release from the KPC on Monday stated. The resolution was among several others.
An audit report for June 24 2018 till May 29 2019 was presented and was approved.
Members moved “amendments” of ‘many clauses’ of various articles of the group’s constitution, the updates stated.
The updates also mentioned that the membership would be from June 22 and till July 22. Renewal of the annual membership fee has been fixed at INR 500 while the registration fee for fresh membership has been fixed at INR 1000.
Earlier, the club’s President Alice Yhoshu recalled the work of the founding members of the club for their vision in setting up the organisation 18 years ago. ‘She acknowledged the works, contributions and dedications of the past leaders toward the growth and development of the club,’ the updates stated. She said to ‘always seek guidance and advice from the seniors while working for the welfare of the fraternity,’ the press release added.
