Dimapur, Dec. 28 (EMN):
The Kiyeto Ghami Kiphimi Kughakulu (KGKK) conducted its 39th annual programme on December 28 at Kiyeto village in Dhansiripar of Dimapur district. The event was conducted with the theme ‘Committed to excellence.’

The convenor of the Western Sumi Hoho advisor committee and executive member of the Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC), Hokiye Yeptho, was the guest speaker of the programme. In his short speech, Yeptho emphasised on the moral values of life, saying it is impossible to be a leader without knowing God and the Bible.

Pointing to the role of students in shaping the society, Yeptho said students are the backbone of the society. He added that their virtue should be to bring changes in the society. He said it is noble for educated persons if they share the same education with everyone.

Explaining that every success story of famous people from around the world started with a vision, he urged the students to have a clear vision about what they want to pursue even when faced with obstacles in life.

The president of the Aqahuto Area Students’ Union (AASU), Akai Swu, also spoke at the event. He congratulated the students who successfully cleared their academics. To those who could not make it, he urged them by saying that mistakes are part of life. ‘This failure could be the pillar of your success to come,’ he said in encouragement to them.

Awards and certificates were given to students for their achievements in the yearly examinations.
