Kids film festival held in Wokha

Wokha, Nov. 30 (EMN): DICE Foundation and Team Metamorphosis, in collaboration with Bedi Pachao Bedi Pdhao under Wokha district administration and LXL, an education consultant based in Bangalore, hosted the first-ever International Kids Film Festival (IKFF) at Wokha Town Hall on November 30.
Declaring the film festival opened, Mhathung Tsanglao, ADC Wokha and special guest, congratulated the organisers in bringing first of its kind event to the district.

He opined transformation in education system in order to transform the society. Stating that ‘Education is not confined within four walls of the school classroom’ Tsanglao informed the students that learning is a continues process that ends up in a grave. He further encouraged the student to get visual knowledge which are healthy and related to education, social life, family and friends.

Zubeni Ngullie shared that LXL Ideas and IKFF has enormous educational potential to create a learning experience for students, parents and educators by taking education beyond the conventional school setting. The aim was to expose students to different cultures, emotions, ideas and entertain as well as inspire them through cinema.

Students from lower section of Wokha district witnessed innovative animated movies in the morning hour, while the upper section were screened short videos in the afternoon.

Zanabeni Kikon from DICE foundation delivered a welcome note, while team from Beti Bachao Bet Padhao and One Stop- Sakhi Wokha delivered on girls child education as well as empowerment and social discrimination of women.
