Dimapur, Aug. 9 (EMN): The colony youth organisations’ under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) is organising Amity Cup 2019, an inter-colony penalty shootout on August 17 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima.

The shootout is being organised by youth bodies of different colonies under KMC Ward 1 (High School), Ward 2 (Bayavii) and Ward 3 (North Bloc) 4.

Informing that the champion trophy (Amity Cup) is to create cordial bond between the youths of Kohima, the organisers said “We also wish that this bond should be continually renewed and strengthen annually. Amity Cup will therefore be a running trophy.”

The objective in organising the match is to promote and encourage the youths to participate in fun and healthy activities, instil confidence and motivate the them to take part in community activities, develop team spirit, maintain good relationship, and understanding amongst the youth bodies of different colonies and wards, said the organisers.
