DIMAPUR — Gethemgo Sports International from Kohima organised a two-day leadership training programme on ‘sports in disasters and trauma’ in Kangpokpi, Manipur, on August 29 and 30.
Dr. Viposa, the director of Gethemgo, stated on the occasion that this initiative aimed to support pastors and church leaders affected by the ongoing conflict between the Kuki and Meitei communities.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]According to a press statement, the training was designed to create a safe and constructive space for these leaders to address their trauma and tensions. Through experiential activities, the programme focused on equipping them with practical tools to manage challenging situations.
A total of 52 pastors attended the training, and as a gesture of peace, J316 balls were presented to all the pastors, symbolising Christ's message of unity.
