Free medical camp, cervical cancer screening held in Saijang village

Dimapur, Feb. 24 (EMN): With an aim to reach out to the people living in remote areas of Nagaland, locally-based NGO Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation organised a free medical camp and cervical cancer screening in collaboration with Saijang Village Council on February 22 at Saijang village in Peren district.

An update from Keduovinuo Keditsu, trustee of Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, informed that it was “the first time in the history of Saijang village that such a camp has been held” It added that over 600 patients (300 women, 220 men and 80 children) attended the free medical camp, where 60 ultrasound scans, 48 dental procedures, 70 pap smears, diabetes and HIV screening, 40 procedures including minor surgeries and family planning (lap ligation and copper-T insertion) were conducted.

People from Athibung circle, Jalukie circle, Peren, Khelma, Songpu, Narmi and Moitang attended the medical camp which was sponsored by contractor KC Angami and Dr. K& T Keditsu Foundation.

The medical team included Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu (DGO, OBGYN), Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu (MBBS, Managing Trustee Dr. K &T Foundation), Dr. Neilakuo Kire (MS Ortho, Spine surgeon) Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu (MS, MRCS, MCh Cancer surgery), Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu (MD OBGYN), Dr. KeluosenuoLinyu (MD OBGYN), Dr. ThejawelieChielie (BDS, Dental Surgeon), and Dr. TheruovizoLinyu (MBBS), according to the press release.
