Foundation stone for Nagaland’s first engineering college laid

Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Y Patton, who is also in-charge of Home and Road & Bridges, laid the foundation stone for Professional College (engineering college) at Tsurangsa in Mokokchung district on December 12.

This was informed by DIPR through a press release made available to the media on Friday.

Patton lauded Minister for Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along for his tireless dedication in bringing a professional engineering college, which he said, “is first of its kind in our state.” He also expressed confidence that the institute will produce many young professionals from the state.

Along and deputy commissioner of Mokokchung Limawapang Jamir also spoke at the event.

The programme was chaired by joint secretary department of Higher & Technical Education, NungsangmenlaImchen. Japu Watsu unit, Dibuia Cultural Club and Longpayimsen cultural troupe performed cultural items and song at the college foundation stone laying programme.
