Kohima, Dec. 5 (EMN): Mhasinyüzo Peseyie of Kohima downed Mhasheve Kesüh twice and walked away the first winner of the Under-17 championship of Naga Wrestling Night held at Solitary Park in Kohima on Thursday evening. The events was organised as part of the Kohima Hornbill Gala by 3E .

Peseyie received INR. 20,000 and championship belt; while Kesüh had to contend with INR. 15,000 and citation.

In the first Veteran Championship, former Hornbill Naga Wrestling champion Kezhalelie Keretsü was adjudged winner; and received INR 50,000.

Altogether, 23 junior wrestlers including veteran wrestlers from Kohima, Phek, Mon and Peren districts took part in the competition.

MLA Khriehu Liezietsu gave ways the prizes to the winners.
