First U-15 Cricket Open Tournament underway
Dimapur, March 13 (EMN): The first U-15 (boys) Cricket Open Tournament organised by the Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) in collaboration with Kohima District Veterans Cricket Club got underway at the Jakhama local ground on Friday, March 13.
Advisor to Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board, Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu attended the inaugural function as special guest, stated an update that was received here on Friday.
In the first match, Chandmari HSS defeated Baptist High by 34 runs.
Put to bat first, Chandmari scored 125 losing eight wickets. Yangtsase and Anurag scored 24 and 22 runs respectively. Pasanuiba of Baptist High took four wickets including the first hat trick of the tournament.
In reply, Baptist High were bowled out for 91 runs with Ekonthung and Rohit scoring 17 and 15 runs. Lithrongchen and Bishal scalped two wickets each for Chandmari.
Pasanuiba was declared man of the match.
