Evils on the Screen

HAVE nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. Ephesians 5:11,12

Everything we see on the screen are not righteous and neither are the ones displayed in it. Somehow it is to the knowledge of everyone that the glassed telly has so many evils and the saints and sinners are also witnesses to it. It will always be best to avoid watching T.V and it is everyone’s choice to either make a decision to be holy or unholy. There can be no rejoicing at funerals and it will be for worse to mock at the destruction of others. So the point is this: Whenever obscene things are shown, there are some who takes so much pleasure watching what God dislikes. To this, the scripture states” The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure. (Ecclesiastes 7:4)

Every command of God are centered on holiness and it will be to the ‘sinners’ shame to do what God hates. For those who are of the truth, there has to be a complete hatred of sin and we have to be passionate in our response to everything which is of God. The scripture does not tell us to enjoy the fruitless deeds of darkness but to expose them. Trust this, if what we see is not holy, it is not holy and grieving the Holy Spirit will only mean greater woes for us. (Ephesians 4:30) The church has this to write that the sons and daughters of God must move on to a higher order as they perfect themselves in the holiness of God. It will certainly be far better to destroy the glassed telly than for it to cause others to sin. Thus the word states “ Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. It would be for better for him to be thrown into the sea with millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.(Luke 17:1,2)

The actors and actresses involved in it will also be judged if they fail to repent before they die. The likes of Michael Jackson gave themselves up to immorality and perversion and they also serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (Jude 7) (Emphasis added). The life he lived was not holy, rather it was he who involved in almost every evil under the sun, defiling women, himself and worst of all damning his own soul. The Scripture brings to our mind of how unholy and evil the world is and it will be adulterous to embrace the world rather than embracing God. The choices has to be made, decisions has to be taken and if the choice to reject sin is total it has to be followed. The evils on the screen are not holy and neither will it be wise to look at the acts of arousal on the glassed T.V. So the ultimatum given is, even if you want to watch T.V, remember God as you open your eyes to see what is being displayed. The Holy Spirit loves the Church so much and it is so important for everyone to understand God’s feelings. Holiness is our passion, our desire, our God. The Holy Spirit lives in us.
