Dimapur, Aug. 8 (EMN): The secretary for the ministry of Development of North East Region (DoNER), InderJit Singh, inspected a number of projects funded by the ministry including NEC schemes, on August 8 in Kohima.
The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates on August 8 to the media informing about the visit.
Singh, along with joint secretary for DoNER SL Meena and Planning Advisor CH Kharshiing inspected the project areas, the updates stated.
During their visit, the officials inspected the project sites at GIS and Remote Sensing Centre. The establishment gave a report of the completed projects, and highlighted their work besides stating their grievances before the officials.
Later the team visited the Rutsa multipurpose Irrigation project and the Rani Gaidinliu Library and memorial museum, the IPR stated.
According to the IPR, the DoNER secretary urged the contractor of the Rani Gaidinliu Library to resume work.
Earlier the team visited Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and had discussions on matters related to the socio-economic development of the state, the updates stated.
