Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): The deputy commissioner (DC) of Dimapur has convened a joint meeting with traders on December 13 to discuss the possible effect on the supply of essential commodities due to the widespread public disorder in Assam.
In a circular issued on Thursday, the DC has invited all petroleum dealers, all wholesale dealers of essential commodities and the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry to attend the meeting at 10.30 am in the conference hall of the DC’s office.
In a separate order, the DC has also directed “the sub-committee to review and prepare average price on various commodities and food grains” to check the wholesale dealers and godowns of essential commodities on December 13 and submit its report.
